A convenient place to stay, with lovely rooms and thoughtful attention to detail. Breakfast had a fantastic spread of homemade preserves, yoghurt, and muffins. The only downside was road noise, since some people don’t drive carefully into town. The hosts are friendly too.

The rooms are clean and have a personal touch, and the service is great. I loved the fresh products from the local market and the beautiful garden, which is a lovely place to unwind after a long trip. Don’t miss breakfast, it’s delicious.

The rescued pets make a lovely welcome, and Joan’s mouth-watering chili-chocolate gluten-free cake is the cherry on top. Fabulous hosts and old-world charm beneath a 100-year-old wild fig tree.

The breakfast was good, and the bed was reasonably comfortable, but I didn’t find the room somewhere I’d want to relax. It seemed grubby, and the place is right beside a busy road. The price felt far too high, especially when they give the impression they have to count every cent. Who asks you to count the tea bags or charges for shampoo and soap?

We had a lovely, peaceful stay, and the hosts were welcoming and informative. Breakfast was great, with thoughtful personal touches. We highly recommend Saint du Barrys.
