Retha and Willem made us feel so welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. We loved our four nights at Millpond House. The cottage was spotless and comfortable, with a lovely patio overlooking the beautiful, peaceful gardens. Its central location also made it convenient for trips to restaurants and nearby towns. We'd highly recommend a stay here. October 2025 Naomi & Louis

The new owners treat you like family, and they have big plans for upgrades. We loved the comfortable rooms, with WiFi and underfloor heating, and that little old brown sherry was the cherry on the cake. Such an amazing place in a lovely location. We'll definitely book again.

The rooms were really clean, simple and stylish, with all the basics, including a microwave, fridge and tea station. They were comfortable too, and even had under-floor heating. Staff were very friendly, the garden was beautiful, and it's well positioned. Breakfast was simple but delicious. We also got complimentary vouchers for restaurants in Clarence and a free jug of sherry.

There was daily housekeeping while we were out. The bed was made fresh by the time we got back, and the house was immaculate. Underfloor heating and electric blankets kept us warm and comfortable the whole stay. We really loved it there and only wish we'd stayed longer. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was served each morning in the beautiful dining room, and seemed to get more delicious every day. Roger and Merri were excellent hosts, welcoming and friendly enough to make us sure we'll return to Millpond House. Our rooms were spotless, very comfortable and had underfloor heating. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.
