The garden was large and well cared for, and we used the braai stand. On cold nights the fireplace was essential. We also had no trouble at all with electricity or water during our stay, which hasn't always been the case on my travels. We stayed in the lower unit at Pond End Villa. The rooms felt roomy but still cozy, with plenty of amenities, and the cleaning staff were friendly and attentive after we left. The beds were quite firm, though, and I felt stiff after each of the two nights. It's a beautiful setting with considerate staff and lots provided. If I'm back in Clarens, I can see myself staying here again.

Set on the golf course, the apartment is peaceful and still within walking distance of town. It was spacious and had all those little extras that make a holiday feel special: plenty of hot water, heated floors and blankets, a fireplace, and a deluxe coffee machine. We'll be back :-)

Celebrating life with a family of five siblings was made even better by this lovely find. The home has six bedrooms and bathrooms. A new gem for us.

There are pleasant walking routes around the estate, and the unit itself was modern, clean, neat, and simply but well furnished. Service was good, and the underfloor heating was nice. The pond in front of the villa was empty and covered in black-jack bushes, which spoiled the view. There aren't trails up the mountain from the estate, and beyond walking and golf there's not much to do there. The TV remote in the unit was broken, and the outdoor umbrella was very dirty, with pigeon and lizard droppings, spiderwebs, and even a wasp nest.

We had a nice family stay. The beds were comfy and the house stayed warm in winter, but it was just okay overall, nothing special. It could use some maintenance: the upstairs oven is old, walls and doors have chips and marks, the couch needs cleaning, and the furniture needs attention.
