We saw more wildlife than expected, and the hotel’s safari was absolutely worthwhile. We also went into the park by ourselves for half a day, and the two visits complemented each other nicely. The staff were very helpful, and the restaurant food was okay, nothing exceptional. As for the lodge itself, the rooms are clean and enormous, though the whole outside-the-park safari feel seemed a bit artificial to me, almost Disney-like. We couldn’t get hot water in our shower, although the room next door seemed to have it. Some upkeep is needed on the plumbing, electricity, doors, and fridge, which all needed a kick to open or close. That’s why I’d give it four stars rather than five.

The staff made us feel so at home and went above and beyond, which made the stay extra special. Manager Etienne gave us great recommendations and helped book our safaris. We were welcomed with a braai, then had another delicious dinner the next night. The rooms were very comfortable, and we loved the outdoor shower. When we asked for cutlery to take into the park, they brought us a full picnic set with a basket. We couldn’t have been happier at Elephant Footprint Lodge, and we’d recommend it to all our friends. Hopefully we’ll be back someday.

I’m visiting from Australia and cycling across SA, and stayed here for one night. Wow, the accommodation was amazing in every respect, clean, quiet, beautiful, and stylish. The manager and staff were great, and both dinner and breakfast were lovely. Highly recommend.

We had a great time at this lovely resort. The service and food were good, and they certainly feed you plenty. I went on safari with your guide Steve, and we saw so many animals!

We had a lovely 3 day stay, with beautiful rooms in a gorgeous setting. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms have the cutest outside shower. Breakfast was divine, with lots of special care. Thank you!
