The room was very disappointing and didn’t look like the photos, which felt misleading. The fan didn’t work and the bathroom window was painted, with no curtains. The tap was completely loose, the toilet flush handle was missing so you had to open the cistern to flush, and the door handle fell off. The lock also got stuck and broke. I’d never recommend anyone stay here.

The little blue pool and pond in the beautiful garden were so refreshing. I could’ve stayed outside much longer, and I’ll use these facilities again. The room was comfortable, with clean linen, plenty of hot water for a bath, a working fridge and kettle, and a microwave. There was a fan too, which suited the January Karoo heat and mosquitoes much better than aircon. A bit of maintenance wouldn’t hurt.

We left and had to decide where else to sleep. The room was dirty, the bedding had marks, the fan was full of dust, and the toilet seat was broken. We weren’t even sure where to go when we arrived because nobody had told us our room number. The owner called me afterward, spoke very rudely, and cut me off while I was trying to explain what happened. Do you check your units, ma’am? Would you sleep there? I don’t think so.

The service was very friendly, and the rooms had just what you need. I’ll definitely visit again.
