The house was spacious and well priced, with a lovely view along the winding drive to it. Our four-bedroom layout worked well, and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. There was plenty of firewood for the fireplaces, while electric blankets and oil heaters kept the bedrooms warm. We got great service, and the owner pointed us towards activities and restaurants. Shops and restaurants nearby added to the holiday feel. I’m definitely coming back with my granddaughter in December for Xmas.

We spent the night stargazing after wandering the estate and finding picnic spots overlooking waterfalls. It was such a special breakaway, with beautiful accommodation, friendly and helpful staff, and amazing food prepared by Beaton and Stephan. Thanks, Upwood Collection. Misty Meadows is my favourite place for a getaway, just a couple of minutes from Dullstoom. The house has five luxurious bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, plus shared living, dining and kitchen spaces that made it lovely to spend time with family and friends. There’s also an upstairs lounge where I could get some quiet work done. The country scenery is picture-perfect, and the house and estate offered plenty for photography, from landscapes and nature to astro-photography. A peaceful stay in a modern home. I’ll definitely be back soon.

This is a beautiful, secure private spot with well-kept facilities and a lovely lake view. The spacious self-catering house has great places to sit together, making it easy for families to relax and spend quality time. There are braai facilities, helpful staff and quick, efficient service. Kids can enjoy the outdoors, and there’s a hotel and spa inside the estate.
