Even though the unit is on the main road, the traffic sounds distant and didn’t disturb me. It’s right in town, within walking distance of everything Dullstroom has to offer. The place was practical, spotless, and had everything needed for self-catering. Great value for money, with excellent service from the owners and managers. Highly recommended.

Auldstone has clean, well-kept rooms with plenty of space and comfortable, cozy bedding. There’s only one bathroom, though, and that made sharing the accommodation with a group of adults quite uncomfortable. As a couple or solo traveller, I’d find it a lovely stay, but the limited bathroom access is a real drawback for groups.

The fireplace wood is supplied and topped up daily, though it only lasts about 3-4 hours. There’s no breakfast on site, but plenty of excellent restaurants are an easy walk away, and there are self-catering options too. Great value in a wonderful location, whether you want a quiet midweek break or a weekend away. Most rooms have fireplaces.

A fireplace was a lovely extra for a winter visit, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There’s safe parking, and restaurants and the rest of Dullstroom are within walking distance.

Auldstone House feels like our home away from home. Dave and the staff are always kind and ready to help. The rooms are tidy and clean, and some have a fireplace for chilly winter nights. It’s a quiet, central spot within walking distance of town.
