We felt right at home in a clean, well-equipped house, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. There were seven adults in our group, visiting from Cape Town for the Durban July. We stayed Thursday through Monday, and it was great value for money, with more than we expected. I'd recommend it, and we'll book here again for future Durban trips.

The bed was comfortable, but the arrival was a mess. I'd paid the deposit and confirmed the booking, yet they weren't expecting me. There was a huge cockroach in the room, no hot water, and the linen was crumpled. I was moved to another room the next day, where the shower and hot water were great, but there was no bedside light or wastepaper basket, and the TV had to be switched on in the lounge. The mattresses were good. The place was hard to find, and nobody answered the phone.

Absolutely horrific service. They told me not to pay, then said on check-in day that my booking was cancelled because I hadn't paid a deposit. They made me feel like a liar and an idiot. It's a disgrace, and I would never recommend this place.

The beds were comfortable, and the place felt very safe. The staff were friendly and prompt too. A wonderful bed and breakfast.

It’s clean, cosy and nice. If you want to experience South Africa while feeling at home, I’d suggest staying at the lodge.
