We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Ridgeview Lodge on 27 Dec 2025. It was raining when we arrived, and a friendly young lady met us with an umbrella, helped with our bags and showed us to a cozy room with the essentials for a comfortable stay. After a peaceful night, we woke to a pleasant atmosphere. Our warm hostess, Ms Vasantha Angamuthu, welcomed us into the dining lounge and served a perfect breakfast with her personal touch. She was very attentive to what we needed. We then wandered through the beautiful garden, which has a lovely view of our Harbour. It was a splendid experience and made our anniversary memorable.

We’ve been coming to Vasantha for several years and, as usual, had a great time. Ridgeview Lodge is perfectly located for combining family visits with beach time and cultural events. Even in vibrant Durban, it’s a quiet place to rest, recharge and reflect. See you again soon, Evelyn and Moritz.

Ridgeview will be our regular stop whenever we’re in Durban. The host is fabulous, so warm and welcoming, and the whole place is immaculate and charming. The accommodations are beautifully appointed, and the setting is stunning, with easy access to a range of travel and tour options. It feels safe and secure, with very safe parking. All the staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast had a great range of tempting choices.

Sis Vee is such a wonderful host. I slept more peacefully than I have in a long time. The location looks lovely, and the attention to detail and welcoming conversations were offered without regard to anyone’s social status. I’m grateful, and would recommend this place a million times over everything else in the location.

The staff’s local suggestions were spot on, from restaurants to things to experience. They listened to what we needed and shared their own experience of down to earth restaurants with good food and a nice atmosphere. The service impressed us and met our high expectations. We had a very pleasant, peaceful three day stay at Ridgeview Lodge, and we’re so pleased.
