The food was good, which helped make up for a confused start to our family Christmas lunch. The booking had gone smoothly, but when we arrived they seemed unsure about it. They eventually took us to a second dining room and said someone would welcome us and show us where to sit, but nobody was there. I went back for help and was eventually assigned a table. Maybe the numbers overwhelmed them.

The staff were friendly, but both nights I stayed there were groups of students or young adults making a lot of noise. They splashed and shouted in the pool, screamed in the hallways, and slammed doors late into the night. Maybe it would have been quieter at another time and easier to work after hours.

The maintenance is awful. The aircon doesn't work and makes a lot of noise, and the side table and the table under the TV aren't level, so a drink can slide off. There's no bar fridge, and the TV feels like something from 1970. People watch things like Netflix these days. The rooms are terrible. You're worse than Airbnb.

Breakfast was tops, 10/10. The room was underwhelming for R1470.00 a night, with mostly very old furniture. There's no fridge, and I couldn't see any charging ports. If you take medication in the morning or evening, bring your own still water.
