The thin mattress left me waking up sore. I know it's a budget option, but this was the worst Sun1 I've stayed at compared with the others. Sun1 Durban really needs to look at replacing those beds. 3/10.

The rooms are simple and practical, and the staff are very helpful. On Friday night the entrance gets a bit hectic because of the bus station, but public transport is easy to find for getting around.

I've stayed here regularly over the past year. At 5:45, I came to ask if I could wait in the waiting area until my lift arrived at 6:30, but they wouldn't let me in because it was considered too early.

It's handy if you've missed your bus or get in very late. Otherwise, not so much.

The carpet smell throughout the place was unbearable, and I couldn't sleep. It was late, so I had no choice but to stay that night. I won't be back.
