The Bentley Westville

On my wedding day, they tried to make me leave while I was getting ready, ruining the whole day. My hair and makeup artist witnessed it. We, as people of color, were called “you people,” which was racist. Even though management had given prior permission and we'd paid for early check-in that day, they told us to leave immediately. The owners made a feeble attempt to apologize afterwards, but it didn't help. We weren't refunded, although we didn't stay at the premises after the wedding.

On our return last week, we paid more for an executive suite expecting a better stay, but it felt closer to two or three stars than to our previous stay, which was nearer five. We could choose between suite 7 and suite 8. Suite 8 had a walled-off bathroom, so we picked it, even though it was smaller than the luxury room we'd had before. The bed was hard, the pillows extremely hard too, and the duvet was a very thin hollow-fiber one. The bathroom towels had holes. We also came back once to find the suite completely open with all our valuables inside, apparently after the cleaning staff had left the door unlocked. Before covid, we'd stayed in a luxury room and had amazing service, a super comfortable bed, a duck-down duvet inner, and great towels. This time was a letdown. We're not sure if it was just the room we chose.

My favorite part is having breakfast brought right to my room, and I love that the gardens are so beautiful and carefully kept. The people are wonderful, and every visit makes me feel special. I just love staying at The Bentley. Thank you for always taking such good care of me.

The rooms are spacious and lovely, and having breakfast delivered to the room was a treat. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and tasted great. The staff were amazing and even offered to help us get to and from the airport. Loved it.
