The place was clean and the food was great. I was there for work training, and found the safety measures excellent from the entrance onward. Reception staff were professional and welcoming. It was absolutely amazing.

The gardens are beautiful and make a nice spot for pictures, with a great atmosphere around the venue. It worked well for conferencing, including our 2026 Sanlam CEO Roadshow & Stakeholder Engagement, which had a great setup. The food needs work. I slept at Highveld, the other ANEW, so I can’t speak to the accommodation or rooms here.

I’m currently staying here, and the receptionist’s attitude has already put a damper on my visit. She didn’t tell me my floor or the dinner and breakfast times, so I had to ask. She answered like she was annoyed. If I could, I’d move somewhere else. I’m definitely not coming back.

The blanket smelled bad, and room service wouldn’t answer the phone. Reception was very rude too. Worst experience of my life. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and definitely won’t return.

Some of the showers in other rooms are really tiny. The food wasn’t the best, though I did enjoy breakfast.
