The staff I dealt with were pleasant, but the catering staff were very noisy during the day. I could stay here if I had to, though management needs to fix the generally tatty infrastructure. I asked catering staff whether I could order a toasted egg and bacon sandwich for breakfast. They said yes, R75.00, and it had to be paid in cash. I don’t enjoy feeling ripped off, and that made me smell a rat. My first room had no Wi-Fi signal, one pillow per guest, a dirty, moldy fridge and ice tray, and only one cup with no cutlery. The place next door played loud music, and reception was often empty because the manager came and went. I moved to a second room, where there was no TV remote or TV signal. The toilet had no light, possibly a bulb issue, and switching on the wall plug beside the bed on the toilet side caused a major short, an explosion and a power trip. There was also a half-eaten piece of watermelon in the fridge. In the third room the toilet light still didn’t work. Wi-Fi was intermittent, and to get a reasonable signal I had to sit on a food trailer outside in the garden opposite reception.

A comfortable, refreshing place. I’ll come back often.

The rooms are beautiful, and the service is good.

For the price, it wasn’t too bad.
