The service is what really made my stay at Alika Guest House stand out. The staff went out of their way to help, answered my questions, offered recommendations, and even arranged transportation. They were friendly and efficient from the moment I arrived, getting me checked in quickly and showing me to my room. The room was spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated, with a very comfortable bed. I also appreciated the plush towels and luxurious toiletries. The welcome made a strong impression, too. It’s in a handy spot, a short drive from the airport and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. I’d highly recommend Alika Guest House to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Benoni. I can’t wait to come back. Would I return? Absolutely. Would I recommend it? Yes, I would.

The rooms were bad and very cold, and there was no water. The price doesn’t match what you get.

I paid, but then decided not to stay at this facility. The staff were unfriendly, and I had problems with my online booking. The owner contacted me to complain about the review I posted describing those issues. I tried to explain what had happened, but he wouldn’t listen and started yelling at me. Then he called me racist and said, "YOU KNOW YOU WHITE PEOPLE ARE THE SAME AND ALL RACIST." I recorded the conversation on my phone using an app I keep for reference purposes. So yes, that’s my story.

I was really disappointed this time. The room had mud marks on the floor, and the shower stayed very cold even after we checked that the handle was turned to red for hot water and let it run for five minutes. The man we called told us to check the handle. The outside rooms are cold too, so they should invest in a heater or air conditioning.

The staff were so friendly, and the service was top notch. I felt very safe, with plenty of parking. My stay was really enjoyable, and it was great that they had water reservoirs and backup generators for load shedding.
