Blyde Bed & Breakfast

We are a couple in our 30s, and would never recommend anyone visit the Blyde. The host was horribly rude to us because we'd had a few drinks. He said their policies don't allow alcohol on the premises or intoxicated people, but those rules weren't on the website. I felt scammed. If we'd known, we could have looked elsewhere or left our drinks and food behind. We were left outside the gate, and they threatened to call security on my partner and me because I wouldn't leave without a refund. They eventually returned our money with a little extra, but were even more disrespectful, saying they didn't need the change. There was no respect for guests. It was late, and we had to search for somewhere else to stay.

Louis made us feel so welcome. The room was spotless and top class. I had a great stay and can't wait to come back.

Louis really goes out of his way to look after guests. It's a family-friendly place and a good choice if you're in the area for work or a holiday.

The owner is friendly and ready to help wherever needed. I like supporting smaller local businesses, and this is a great spot for an overnight stay if you're in the area.
