A traditional braai dinner is well worth having, it was delicious and great value. The team also made it easy to get the most out of our visit by booking transfers and a private driver for a day of wine tasting. Everything at La Clé was lovely, from the grounds and room to the food, staff, and shared spaces. You’re close enough to walk into downtown, but the area itself is quiet, so it feels like the best of both. Highly recommend it for a stay in Franschhoek.

There were so many thoughtful touches, including a yoga bag with gym equipment, and everything in the room was great. The bed was comfortable, the showers were fun, and the bathrobes were lovely. Breakfast and the staff were wonderful too. The grounds at both the village and lodge were beautiful. We had fun among the vineyards and taking a little boat out on the lake. Everything was perfect, 11/10.

A lovely estate in Franshoek for a few days, with excellent service and a comfortable stay where everything you need is provided. Breakfast was superb, and there’s a nice pool in the lush gardens. Highly recommended.

I haven’t stayed here, but I’ve been guiding guests who come and go. They all love it, and from what I can see it looks posh and lovely. It’s within walking distance of downtown Franschoek.
