I expected a little more comfort. The bed and pillows were too hard, the walls so thin that I could hear the neighbours’ TV instead of my own, and the whole place felt cold and clinical, with all the steel, tile, and glass. Breakfast was only almost average. It’s clean, and not a bad place, but I’ll give it a miss next time. Also, the remote is attached to the shortest piece of chain I’ve ever seen. Don’t people know a man wants to hold the remote?

The conference facilities are good, with the rooms equipped for what you need, including projectors, flip charts, and even a printer. Tea and coffee breaks are set up in a small breakaway room connected to the conference room. The place is well run and neat, but parking is limited and most bays are along the exit route, so be careful where and how you park.

The beds were too hard, and the bedding didn’t look very attractive or welcoming. There were no news or sports channels on DSTV. Aside from that, the rest was minimally satisfying. I enjoyed my stay, with nice staff, beautiful gardens, good food, a great bar, conference rooms, and a nice big swimming pool. It’s close to Polokwane CPD, and if the pool isn’t deep enough for you, there’s a town pool with diving platforms right next door. A beautiful place to be.

The pool was green, and my colleague’s bedroom ceiling had water damage. It looked like it might fall in at any moment. The towels were very small, and no breakfast was offered. We expected much more than we got. I won’t return.

The staff were friendly and did their best, but we had a few problems. The card machines weren’t working, food ran out a couple of times and we had to wait for more, and it was noisy until about 11.00. There were no fridges in the family rooms either.
