Dumi Mkhwanazi I want to praise the most incredible hotel manager I’ve ever had the pleasure and privilege of dealing with, in South Africa or anywhere else in the world. She’s proactive and can quickly solve even unreasonable requests, showing incredible leadership. She was born to be a hotelier. She’s right at the front desk, ready to help immediately instead of hiding away in a back office. Her problem solving is out of this world, and she handles difficult requests with wizard-like speed. She adds a personal touch to everything and treats guests like royalty. Hold on to her. Her future is beyond measure.

Conrad, one of the managers, stepped in when our flight was cancelled and made sure we had a place to stay and transport to the airport. Domi deserves the award for being the most outgoing and friendly, always smiling and full of personality. The hotel was lovely, and the attentive staff made sure our stay went perfectly. We also enjoyed the morning breakfast and afternoon wine tasting. Thanks for a great stay!

We spent a whole day at Leeu Estates enjoying the garden and wine, then had a fabulous dinner there and were shuttled back to Le Quartier afterward. We also had an amazing meal at Epice. The suite was perfect for our four-night stay, and access to the sister property Leeu Estates meant we couldn’t have asked for more. Its beautiful, peaceful grounds are still right in the middle of town. Breakfast was good, and we enjoyed an afternoon by the pool. This is where I’d stay in Franschhoek.

The in-house tasting at Great Heart Wine Boutique was one of the best and most educational we experienced on our South Africa trip. We also had a phenomenal dinner at Protégé, just steps from our room, and the food throughout the stay was sublime. We came to Le Quartier Français for two nights to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday, and the team made it unforgettable with warm welcomes and thoughtful surprises. The Four Quarters Suite was immaculate, stylish, and very comfortable. Right in the heart of Franschhoek, it was easy to walk to top restaurants. We fell in love with the valley, and the staff played a big part in that. Heartfelt thanks to everyone.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the hotel can arrange taxis. There’s also a complimentary wine tasting. Our room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of little luxury touches. Breakfast was generous and delicious. We had a brilliant stay.
