Clementine Guesthouse

Rita was as charming as ever, and breakfast was superb, as usual. I do plan to come back, and Rita said she'd speak with the owners. I need all the rooms for conference accommodation next year, again in winter. The rooms are beautiful, but our stay this time was unpleasant because they were freezing. My male staff member and I were assigned the outside bedrooms. Neither room had working heat, and even the air conditioners wouldn't heat them. The small plug-in heater in my room only blew cold air, though Rita said it was a heater. I had an extra blanket, but my staff member had neither a heater nor a blanket. Saying we were cold barely covers it. My female staff member stayed in the house and loved her room. It was warm, with a wall heating panel, and beautiful like the others. There were privacy issues too. My window had no blind like the other rooms, and the curtain wasn't blackout, so people could see into the lit room at night. The blind over the door was also in poor repair, and outside light came through. This was my third visit. The guest house is lovely and suits my business stays in George. On my previous visit I let the broken TV slide, and even tried unsuccessfully to help a staff member fix it. For a four-star guest house, the room needs to be comfortable in the middle of winter. These details need attention.
