The room was so comfortable and bright, and the carpet felt warm and nice underfoot. We slept wonderfully, with blankets and pillows like clouds. It’s a huge room with plenty of storage, from large wardrobes to shelves, and even a mini-kitchen with a fridge, microwave, kettle, glasses, mugs, plates, cutlery and towels. There was even ice in the freezer when we arrived, such a thoughtful touch. The second-floor window looks out over a pond where you can spot all sorts of birds. The hosts, Ella and Ramon, were lovely and pleasant. The place is in a quiet, cozy spot, about a 5-minute drive from the center of Wilderness, where you’ll find restaurants and a Spar supermarket. There’s a pool and braai too. I’d definitely recommend staying here, and the room would be great for a longer visit.

The rooms were clean and really spacious, and I especially loved the bathroom. My husband and I only stayed for 2 days, but we wish we’d had longer and can’t wait to come back. The hosts were incredible and so helpful, making us feel at home. I know they’ll make a great success of this retreat. If I could give it 100 stars, I would. What a gem!

A young couple have taken over running the place and are putting new ideas in place. The setting is lovely, with seating around the pool and an outdoor table and chairs. There’s a brand new braai, with every utensil you could want. The large rooms come with plates, cutlery, wine glasses, a microwave, fridges and a big bath. It’s very quiet, only 5 minutes out of Wilderness. I’d recommend it.

We really enjoyed the terrace and swimming pool, and our room was lovely with plenty of space. The whole place has a peaceful, calm feel. Ramone and his wife made us feel very welcome at L'Heritage Retreat.

The hosts, Ramon and Ella, were so friendly and welcoming, with lots of thoughtful attention to detail. The room and bathroom were stylish and super clean, and the pool and garden were beautifully kept. We loved our stay and were completely delighted. When my husband's suit got dirty on the trip, they went out of their way to get it cleaned. Fantastic guesthouse in a tranquil garden. 100% recommended.
