Premier Express Inn George

I found the staff especially welcoming. They were friendly, easy to approach, and helpful throughout my stay, from check-in to check-out. The hotel is practical for an overnight stop. There’s plenty of parking, and the lift was a real help with luggage or when I was tired. The rooms are on the small side, but they feel cosy rather than clinical, and have a TV. Mine looked out on green trees and moving leaves, which made for a calm view. Breakfast and dinner are both buffet meals, so I didn’t have to go looking for a restaurant in the evening. The food was filling and nicely presented, with a good choice at breakfast. Premier Express Hotel is a comfortable, convenient place to rest.

We did enjoy the stay, though the staff weren’t very friendly. The call from the front desk really spoiled things. At 19:00 they complained about noise, even though we hadn’t made any. The previous night, other people had been making a lot of noise and it didn’t bother us, since it was Easter and people were on holiday. I asked and emailed for the Manager to contact us, but still haven’t heard anything. It’s a pity, because it’s not a bad place at all. But ja...

We had a good breakfast and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and very nice. It was great value for money. We ate at Spur across from the hotel, and the secure parking mattered to us because we had a hire car.

The breakfast took over 40 minutes to prepare, even though we were the only visitors in the dining area. The setup needs attention too: there was a spoon on the table that wasn’t clean. I appreciate that an extra mattress was arranged at the 11th hour on my first night for our family of Four. But shouldn’t housekeeping have removed the used sheet and supplied a clean one? Is this the correct George method of operations? With Four guests in the room, we also had to call reception for another bathing towel. The bathroom extractor fan doesn’t work either. How am I supposed to see myself after a good shower?
