I was recently there by luck after being invited to write a propaganda article about the park. I realized then that a lot was going on there. mthimkhulu isn't really functioning and doesn't serve the community as it was supposed to. Some individuals have hijacked it and now use it as their own private place to entertain guests, so an average tourist has no way to book there. There are court cases about what's happening. Whatever five-star reviews you see now are fake.
