Hathaway Guest House in East London is a real gem! 🌟 The ocean views are stunning, and the rooms are spacious, modern, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from, and the location is just right for exploring East London. The staff are incredibly friendly and do so much to make you feel welcome.

The staff were fantastic and the service was top-notch, so the stay was okay overall. But the carpets were dirty, and the room had a really unpleasant, lingering drain-like smell that made me feel nauseous. It also got quite hot without air conditioning (Somerset).

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the breakfast has plenty of tasty options. They often make me a lovely dinner too. I always ask for a sea-view room. When I'm in EL, this is my home away from home, with GM Kyra and her team always friendly and attentive and check-in quick.

The food and atmosphere, along with the luxury, owners, and staff, made hosting my 30th here feel like being at home. I'm still in awe. Thank you for looking after me. I'd give you ten stars if I could!

Our stay was short, but we had a lovely time. The location is central, and the kids had fun in the pool while we relaxed. Staff were welcoming from the start and made sure we were looked after. When we needed help, the lodge manager was responsive. Breakfast was brilliant.
