Jakobs Guesthouse & Cottage

The location was perfect, and the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Housekeeping and the rest of the staff kept up a high standard throughout my six-night stay. After my flight was delayed, Yonela made check-in easy and was friendly, helpful, and efficient every day. David had promptly confirmed the booking and didn’t ask for a deposit, which I really appreciated. He was accommodating from our first contact. Jakobs Guesthouse and Cottage will be my first choice when I return to East London, and I’ll gladly recommend it.

After a long day of travel, my parents stayed here and found the owners super friendly from arrival to departure. They said the room, linen, and bedding were spotlessly clean, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning. They’ll definitely stay again when passing through East London. Thank you so much.

I wasn’t sure about booking because the prices were low, but I was surprised when I arrived. It’s a beautiful place, with luxurious rooms and excellent equipment. The two-bedroom cottage where my family and I stayed was brilliant and had everything we needed. The old lady and her team gave magnificent service. High five to them, I’ll definitely return next time I stay over in East London.

The host was friendly as usual, but this cottage was a disappointment after our very good previous stay. It wasn’t what we expected, and the kitchen needs attention, including the crockery and cutlery. There was no plug for the kettle, and the top cupboard is awkwardly positioned, so it’s easy to bump your head.
