The food looked gorgeous and tasted just as good, and the service was great. We had a romantic private lounge to ourselves, surrounded by lovely gardens. The restaurant has a cosy, historic feel. One thing though, some dishes listed on the website menu weren't available at the restaurant.

We celebrated my mom and aunts' 90th birthday here, and the high tea was spectacular. The staff were absolutely amazing. It's a lovely little place tucked into a busy suburb, and the management deserves credit for a fantastic venue and experience.

OMW, what an amazing place. The gorgeous rooms and beautiful architecture inside were a real treat, and the gardens and surroundings feel heavenly. It's clean, the food is good, and the service is FRIENDLY. A total upgrade, absolutely worth it.

The Victorian house, full of lovely antiques, reminded me so much of the Walmer home where I grew up. We had an unforgettable birthday weekend at Hacklewood Hill Guesthouse, and it turned into our engagement celebration too! My fiancé had secretly booked the romance package and, with Damon and the staff helping, planned the perfect proposal. Sinazo and Brenda kept checking that we had everything we needed, and the whole team made us feel so cared for. Head Chef Natasha and the kitchen did a wonderful job with every meal. The steak was cooked just right, the flavours were balanced, and there was an extensive wine list. After the proposal, the staff surprised us with extra champagne and a “congratulations” plate. Such a thoughtful touch. We've already picked Hacklewood Hill for future anniversaries. Thanks to everyone for making the weekend so magical!
