We had to find somewhere to stay in an emergency, and this hotel turned out to be amazing. Sandra, the owner and host, gave us such attentive service. My wife and I will always be grateful. If you're looking for a personal touch in Port Elizabeth, I'd recommend staying here. Thank you, Sandra.

Breakfast was the best part, delicious, fresh, and enough to eat. Charlotte was friendly and helpful, although the other staff weren't welcoming when we arrived. The rooms look dated in keeping with the Manor House style, but Room 4 was uncomfortable while Room 1 was spacious and comfortable. The toilets weren't clean, and the bathroom needs an upgrade. The location was good.

Hallack Manor is a little oasis, especially handy for St Georges Hospital. Sandra is a calm, happy host who goes out of her way to accommodate you. The rooms are big, the beds extremely comfortable, and breakfast is wonderful and filling.

We had a lovely honeymoon stay at Hallack Manor. Sandra was such a nice host, and we were close to the airport. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. 100% recommend.

Breakfast was delicious and handled well, probably the best part of our stay. The rooms, though, are very outdated and could use some upgrades. The photos can be misleading, and based on earlier reviews I expected a lot better. We didn't feel very welcome when we arrived, and staff didn't seem to speak English well. The owner was away, which may explain the communication problems. For just one night, it might be fine.
