We stayed at Margate’s Guesthouse for the last two nights of our trip in January 2026, travelling with our two children. Our room was spacious enough for a family of four, and the breakfast each morning was delicious and high quality. The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. It was peaceful and secure, right by the beach, with safe parking on site for our rental car. The owner speaking German was a lovely and helpful surprise. A wonderful, stress-free end to our vacation. Highly recommended!

We stayed one night at Margate Place Guest House to fit our travel plans, and it was an easy Uber ride from the airport. The room was large, clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly, kind and attentive. Seeing a panic alarm on the bed frame felt a little unnerving as an international visitor, since we hadn't seen one at other guest houses or hotels in South Africa. Still, it didn't affect our stay or enjoyment.

The location was ideal, close to everything while still quiet and relaxing. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed. Gabi and Stephan welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home straight away. Princess and Katie were especially cheerful and attentive, and kept the rooms spotless and well looked after. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend Margate Place Guest House. I'll definitely be back!

Gabi and the staff were so kind, and the room was comfortable. Margate Place is in a safe area close to the ocean, and breakfast was great too. We had a perfect stay and highly recommend it.
