Mount Road Suites

I was happy at first to arrive after a long drive and find a clean room for my three-night booking. The rustic style seemed a little dated, but that wasn't a problem for me. Then I noticed that a curtain, partly hidden by a cupboard, was the only thing separating my room from another tenant's. I felt unsafe and deeply uncomfortable, and couldn't relax there. I left the next morning and found somewhere else for the rest of my stay. The owner was kind, and I didn't ask for a refund or raise a complaint with them, but this setup was unacceptable. The space between rooms needs to be properly secured so guests don't feel unsafe.

Maria made us feel welcome, and the place was quiet, neat, and safe. We only stayed one night, but I loved it and hope to return with my family. One staff member we saw seemed as if something might be bothering her. She walked past without greeting us or smiling, and didn't respond when we greeted her. Many thanks to Maria.

The hosts had a relaxed, warm way about them that helped against the biting cold. Our guesthouse had an ocean view, a little nature in the yard, and the friendliest cat, Nala. My first flight to PE had been terrifying, but when I landed I was blown away, quite literally, by the chilly wind. Anywhere near the sea is my kind of place, though!

The place is beautiful, quiet, and very private, and close to all the cool spots. Be sure to choose a dinner option, the food served is really nice. Maria is the best.
