Spandau Manor

We really enjoyed the bird life and the outside stoep. Staying here felt more like being in a home than a rental. Stan was a wonderful host: he messaged to wish us a safe journey and gave us a heads-up about the hot weather. We wanted to buy ice, but he brought us some every day and topped it up whenever we asked. So thoughtful! The little house had loads of useful details: complimentary rusks and coffee, including Bodum French press, Nescafe and ricoffee; kitchen paper towels; plenty of plugs; lots of mirrors; hand soap, shampoo and body wash dispensers; and tea lights and matches for the jacuzzi. We never used the braai, but the grids were clean and the braai area looked fantastic. There was aircon and fans, very clean tea towels, lovely bedding and towels, pool towels, and great security. I had such a lovely stay and am so glad I booked for July with my friends 💗 Thank you, Stan. See you soon 🤗 (PS: Anyone who adopts a rescue with 3 legs is an angel in my opinion.)

I nearly wished we’d had more time to stay in the house itself. Spandau manor has a cosy, welcoming set-up and a big garden full of adorable chirpy birds. Stan was kind and very helpful in finding attractions that were amazing to experience. We really enjoyed our stay.

After a long 9 hour drive, having a jacuzzi in the room was a real treat. Stan made the place feel welcoming, even going so far as to wash and iron my husbands' pants for his formal function the next day. He also wished us safe travels before we left Boksburg and checked afterwards that we’d arrived safely. We stayed one night at Spandau Manor in charming Graaff-Reinet on the way to PE. Booking was easy, with prompt WhatsApp communication, and Stan gave us a warm welcome. The room had all the essentials and a few extras, plus our own private little stoep. We could also use the braai area and swimming pool. It’s on a quiet street, with easy access to restaurants, attractions and the main routes in and out of town. Stan recommended the Hello You Restaurant, with its authentic Karoo lamb and beautiful gifts. We appreciated the genuine Karoo hospitality and would happily recommend Spandau Manor. We only wished we could have stayed longer to explore more. We’d give it 4 stars for the service and hospitality. Thank you, Stan. Dina Roets xxx

Everything we needed was right there, and the accommodation was so cosy I didn’t want to leave. We felt safe, slept like babies, and the property is really well maintained. The workers were all so friendly, too. Stan and his lovely wife gave us the best service and made me feel at home. Even on the drive back, Stan checked that we’d arrived safely. So considerate. I loved it and can’t wait to return.
