The house was very spacious, with four bedrooms, two of them ensuite. There’s a lovely park in the estate overlooking the dam, with a pool and a big braai area. But the house wasn’t clean and the towels were dirty. The bedroom air-conditioning didn’t work, and it was very hot. The shower heads may have been broken or clogged, since water went all over the place, and a shower dripped through the night. The tea, coffee, and sugar canisters had only three or four sachets each. They weren’t refilled even though the host knew she’d be hosting eight people for two nights. Housekeeping needs closer attention.

The water gets cold after two people have bathed. They should also get a generator to use as backup during loadshedding.
