The pool and garden at House on Westcliff are beautiful, and we loved our stay. The rooms are very clean, nicely decorated, and have private entrances and comfortable beds. The en suite bathroom has been updated, and the shower pressure was good. Breakfast was delicious and made to order. The guest house has an inverter, so load shedding wasn't an issue for us. We'd definitely stay here again if we travel to Hermanus.

We spent four days here and had a fantastic time. It's just off the cliff path and close to all the amenities. Hermanus was really hot for the last couple of days, so we did plenty of relaxing and swimming. The grounds were lovely, with green grass, beautiful gardens, a nice pool, and lots of space to chill. There's an outside fridge too. Breakfast was delightful every morning. Thanks to our hosts Ren and Linda.

It's within walking distance of the sea, where you can watch whales jumping from the water if you're there in season, July to November. This is a lovely little guest house with a pool, terrace, kitchen, and a nice common room. A great place to meet people and wind down in the evening.

We had a spacious room with a comfortable bathroom, furnished simply, prettily, and practically. The TV didn't work for us, though that wasn't why we were there, and WiFi was included. It was lovely to relax with our feet in the pool in the afternoon, and the other guests were friendly and laid-back. Breakfast was included, simple, well made, and delicious, with fruit, tea or coffee, juice, toast and spreads, granola and yoghurt, plus a cooked breakfast of eggs, bacon, tomato, and mushroom. I stayed for a couple of nights in December, peak season, with my mother and son while attending a friend's wedding, and we had a really nice, relaxing time. The hosts, Lynda and Eitan, were friendly and accommodating. When I booked, they said they might be able to put a mattress down for my young child in the twin room we were sharing, and it was ready when we arrived. One thing to know is that front desk staff aren't always there 24/7. They ask for your check-in time and will be there then, so try not to be late. Road traffic slowed us down, unfortunately. I would stay here again.

The owner was very nice and helpful, and breakfast was amazing. The room was spacious and clean, and there was even a small bottle of Sherry 😉. The house feels very safe, and you can easily walk to the cliff path to watch the whales. A very nice bed and breakfast in Hermanus.
