James and his brother Bennett made this stay especially memorable. James was so warm and thoughtful, and Bennett drove us almost five hours to Wilderness for the next part of our trip. When our Uber fell through, he also got us to the new harbour at 6:30am for our whale watching tour, with hardly any notice. Our room was roomy, the bathroom was excellent, and we loved having a hot tub on the balcony for sunset. Kennedy's Beach Villa looks out over a quiet beach just a few minutes away on foot, and it felt much less busy than the main beaches in town. There’s a restaurant nearby, plus scenic cliff walks. Hermanus centre is only a short drive away, too. We absolutely loved being here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Hermanus.

The private jetty was a highlight, with easy access to kayaking and swimming in the calm lagoon that leads to the sea. We also loved the villa’s spacious, self-catering setup and the outdoor braai area for evenings. Tucked into lush forest, Kennedy Villa felt wonderfully private, and the sea views from the outdoor bath and jacuzzi were breathtaking. The photos don’t quite capture how beautiful and peaceful the place is. James made us feel at home as soon as we arrived, and Mrs. Kennedy was so welcoming and kind. We’re already hoping to return next year. It’s a lovely choice for a peaceful, luxurious break.

We loved having direct access to the lagoon, which made the stay feel special. The villa has lovely antique furnishings and so much room, even for a pool table. It’s a calm, quiet spot to recharge, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. We’ll be back.

The Beach Villa’s outdoor space was a lovely part of the stay, with sun loungers, umbrellas, a braai area, a bath and a hot tub. The beach and restaurant are both less than a five-minute walk away, and there are great views from several spots around the villa. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering. Staff gave amazing service and went out of their way to make us comfortable, while still respecting our privacy. A beautiful, quiet and private getaway, a real gem.
