We brought my parents for a weekend and were treated with such kindness by all the staff. Thank you for making us feel like royalty. Breakfast had lots of choice, and the fresh fruit was a highlight. The whole property was wonderfully warm, especially welcome in the freezing weather. Right on the beachfront, it has stunning ocean and mountain views. We watched whales from the extra deck, which gives you a spectacular 360-degree view, then enjoyed the bar just inside. It’s a truly wonderful place, and I hope we can return soon.

The owners were both lovely, and the coastal path is very close. We had a comfortable, spacious room with sea views from the balcony, then a nice hot breakfast in the morning. Hermanus, with all its restaurants, is about a 10-minute taxi ride away. We had a lovely one-night stay in early September and would highly recommend it for a short break.

The hosts are the owners, and they’re top form. Breakfast was amazing, fresh, and served with fabulous service. Well done, Marileze and Kobus.

Lavender Manor is just outside town, near Grotto beach, a couple of bars, and the cliff walk. The ocean views are great, the staff are lovely, and breakfast sets you up well for the day. I’d highly recommend it.

Lavender Manor was a very pleasant stay, and I’d recommend it. Our room was spacious and clean, with tasteful design and everything well maintained. The owners were kind and keen to make sure we had a good visit, and breakfast was good too. The location works well if you have a car: it’s near the beach and about five minutes from Hermanus centre, where the shops and restaurants are.
