Nyala Safari Lodge

Our ranger Amy deserves a special mention. She's the sweetest person and knows so much about the animals, which made every drive even better. The lodge itself was quiet and peaceful, a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature. The staff were very friendly and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable, and the chef pampered us with outstanding meals. An unforgettable safari from start to finish, and a top-quality experience I'd highly recommend.

The game drives were a highlight. We saw four of the Big 5, missing only the Leopard, and got a drink and snack during the drive. On arrival, after a short game drive to the Lodge, staff greeted us with hot towels and a welcome drink, which was a brilliant start. The main lobby looked stunning, with comfortable seating and a nice view of the park. Our room was spacious, modern, very clean and comfortable. The food was delicious, and the chef explained what we would be eating. With the lovely staff and beautiful surroundings, I had a great stay. This is my favourite hotel ever, and the best one I've stayed in in South-Africa!

We spent hours on the main deck watching animals at the watering hole, including elephants, giraffes and even a leopard. Our guide Amy was brilliant, with lots of knowledge about the animals and a special connection with the elephants. The rondavels were pure bliss, with high thatched ceilings, a luxurious freestanding tub, and both indoor and outdoor showers. The food was a complete surprise, restaurant-quality and the best we've had at any safari lodge. Nyala Safari Lodge is a perfect mix of luxury and raw wilderness, an absolute must-visit.

Wesley made our trip special. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and his love for the work was clear. He pointed out little things we would have missed on our own, from animal behaviour and plants to tracks. His stories and insights brought the experience to life. The lodge was beautiful, peaceful, full of character, and set in a stunning location. The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully appointed, with a lovely balance of luxury and nature. Every meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner, was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented, with plenty of choices. We had an unforgettable stay at Nyala Safari Lodge and can't wait to return. Thank you to the lodge and Wesley for an experience we'll treasure.
