Tshukudu Game Lodge

We had a lovely stay at Tshukudu and will definitely come back. Everyone at the lodge was welcoming and accommodating. Pearl and Dolly greeted us, and they were so kind, just like the rest of the team. Breakfast and dinner were consistently delicious, and we also enjoyed a great massage and a nice game drive.

The pool was a huge hit, and seeing wild animals from it made the lodge feel like a peaceful sanctuary. Our room was clean and ready for us, the welcoming staff were lovely, and the barman was even better. Such a calm, great place. My wife and I loved it. Thank you, Tshukudu game lodge.

Dinner and breakfast were both excellent, so big thanks to the chefs. Douglas also made a big difference to our stay. He has a great personality, communicates easily with everyone, and was always smiling and ready to go the extra mile when we needed help. He really is a pillar of the place and deserves recognition for his work. We liked the location, and I’m excited about the upcoming revamp. Mr Douglas showed us what the place will look like, and I can’t wait to return. I’ll be among the first to visit when you reopen.

We enjoyed eating outside, and birds would often help themselves to any toast or croissants left unattended. The food was fresh and tasty, including the freshly baked bread and desserts. Breakfast included omelettes made to order; dinner was usually a buffet with chicken and another protein, plus salad, greens, vegetables, and rice or potatoes. Plenty of water was supplied in the rooms and on game drives, though asking for it with a meal cost extra. Animals often came right up to the electric fence near each dwelling. We regularly saw giraffes, lions, and warthogs, and a pair of white ducks wandered from patio to patio looking for breadcrumbs. Kruger national Park is within driving distance for a day trip. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was large with lots of hot water. We would have liked more lighting in both rooms: the bedroom had only one fluorescent light on a wall. The staff were friendly and helpful.
