Dunkeld Manor

Sandi runs this place so well, and the staff are fabulous. It feels like a home away from home, and the price is good for Johannesburg, especially compared with other places I use when I'm in town. The security is tiptop, with plenty of parking along the expansive driveway and really good wifi. The huge, well appointed en-suite bedrooms have super-comfy beds, and there's a gracious sitting room with a well-stocked courtesy bar. Breakfast is excellent in an elegant dining room overlooking a lovely garden and sparkling swimming pool.

The Dunkeld Manor is so spacious, and the whole place has a great feel. I've stayed twice and already can't wait to return. The breakfast was great, and the internet was good for South Africa. Waking up to birdsong with a beautiful garden just outside the window or door is lovely. It's easy to Uber to nearby restaurants, and I walked to Rosebank mall and the grocery stores during the day. Highly recommended.

Sandy was a warm, lively and professional host, and her hospitality was wonderful. She's efficient and looks after every requirement. We found the peaceful, leafy setting convenient for business, shopping and leisure, with Hyde Park Mall, Rosebank Mall, Zoo Lake, Sandton and The Gautrain nearby for airport transport. The spacious rooms are comfortable and elegantly furnished, with attention to detail. Breakfast, both Continental and English, is delicious and served in the manor house overlooking the gardens and pool. Dunkeld Manor is a luxurious, comfortable and convenient place to stay, whether visiting Johannesburg to work, enjoy yourself, or rest. I'd highly recommend it, and we'll be back. I've returned to Dunkeld place on and off over the years. It's a remarkable house in one of JHB's best suburbs, and offers both convenience and good value. Ingo is a fantastic host.
