Holiday Inn Johannesburg Sunnyside Park by IHG

The grounds are kept in great shape, and everyone we encountered, from security and doormen to reception and catering, was exceptionally kind. They were especially accommodating with our young kids. The only minor downside was the fluffy material dropping from the trees onto cars in the outdoor parking area.

Okuhle at reception is consistently wonderful, and the whole team made us feel welcome. Hope and Athelia greeted us warmly and even shared a good laugh with us. The service was the best, so we’ll definitely be back.

Breakfast service was very good, though a few chafing dishes were empty or nearly so by the time I ate. I also found the setting peaceful and relaxing. Athalea and Thingo at the front desk were genuinely friendly, as was Thomas, the helpful porter, and check-in was excellent. I had a great stay and would happily recommend the hotel to anyone needing a place in this part of Johannesburg.

After my marriage ended, I needed somewhere to stay for an extended period while I sorted out my living arrangements, and this IHG facility was a lovely place to land. The rooms were comfortable, the security was top notch, and the front desk staff were gracious. Waitstaff were attentive, and bartender kkkk kept the drinks coming. The hotel sits among lush greenery and has an old world charm. It offers great value for money if you're visiting Johannesburg. The place has a whole vibe of its own.
