The staff were friendly, and the location was handy, close to lots of amenities. That was about the only good part. When we arrived around 6pm to check in, the rooms weren't ready, so they rushed to clean them. Afterward, used condoms were still under the bed. There’s no aircon, and the fans were weak, so we had to open the windows. Our rooms were near the smoking area and filled with a strong cigarette smell. There are no coffee stations unless you ask, and when coffee arrived, it was missing things like sugar or spoons. Housekeeping didn’t replace our towels or bring toilet paper. The complimentary breakfast wasn't worth it, and the restaurant food was dry. I won't stay there again or recommend it. It's not worth it.

I popped in for a drink at the bar after work on a weekday. It was quiet, but the place has a charming old feel and friendly staff. It’s nice to see a well-kept spot in Braamfontein, on a tidy street with a few other little bars. People have talked about the lively weekend atmosphere, so I’d like to come back then. I definitely will visit again.
