Room 1 was roomy and comfortable, though the shower had a couple of problems: mold on the tiles and a showerhead that sent water onto the wall. We also missed having a mini-fridge for drinks or things bought during the day. The guesthouse itself has a peaceful, spacious setting among nature, with a charming historic character that feels well cared for. Staff were welcoming, and breakfast was fresh and excellent. With some bathroom upkeep and mini-fridges, the stay could be excellent throughout.

Marius is a superb host, and the full breakfast was yummy. The bed was super comfy, too. The room had a beautiful interior, basic amenities and some extras, and the dim lights and warm air-conditioned room were a welcome escape from the cold outside.

I was there for two weeks and had no complaints. The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and the place went beyond what I expected.

The garden and bird sounds made waking up to nature really lovely. The owners were so welcoming and kind, and the rooms are updated, clean, and comfortable. It's tucked into a safe gated neighborhood near the OR Tambo airport. The mattress felt a little firm to me, but it was still bearable and didn't disturb my sleep. Breakfast at their pub style bar was fantastic.

Mary's cooking was on another level, with proper home-cooked dinners each evening and a farm-style breakfast every morning. The whole team looked after my comfort and satisfaction and gave professional service. I was in Kempton Park for training and found this little gem while looking for a place with dinner, bed, and breakfast. The countryside feel and beautiful green garden made it feel like country living right in Kempton. La Chateau translates to "The Castle," and I certainly felt treated like royalty. I'd recommend the whole team any time.
