The room was spacious, but it looked old, and that carpet smelled awful. It needs a serious cleaning or to be taken out for good. The water never got properly hot, and the towels were worn out and below standard. My partner and I couldn't get a good night's sleep because of the smell. The receptionist was very impatient and got annoyed when I asked about things in the room that I didn't understand.
We paid 500 for three people sharing, so it was very affordable, and the airport is only about five minutes away. The water took ages to heat up in the morning, but at least we could shower. Bring your own towels. There are no heaters or fridges in the rooms, and so on.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious with hot water and really good Wi-Fi. There was a TV too. You can use the tea, coffee, and hot water bar, which is a nice touch, though we didn't use it. It worked well for an overnight stop before our morning flights.
It's very close to the airport, inexpensive, and the service is fine. I especially appreciated the Kenyan staff member and the woman on night duty, who were both kind to me. The atmosphere was quiet, with hardly anyone around, and I didn't see any beer or alcohol.
We weren't there for long, so the stay was good overall, but communication from the staff wasn't great. Some things weren't explained clearly, including details shown in the room images they prepared for us. For a self-catering place, not having something as basic as kettles in the rooms felt odd. Hot water wasn't reliably available either. The water would run for three or four minutes, then turn cold.
