Kariega Game Reserve Settlers Drift

The game drives were a highlight. Michael was a fantastic expert, and we saw big cats on every drive as well as a huge range of other animals. Each trip took us into a different part of the park. We were also surprised by how much wildlife we could watch from the terrace and swimming pool. I thought we'd maybe spot the occasional antelope, but there were dozens each time, including ostriches, giraffes, and zebras. We'd spent ages looking for the right place for our first safari, and Settlers Drift exceeded our hopes. I can't remember the last time a holiday blew me away like this. The rooms were huge and so comfortable. The food was excellent, with breakfast served before and after the morning drive, and dinners were top quality. Staff were incredible and kept adding thoughtful surprises that made the trip feel magical. We also had a high-quality massage at the spa, and it was very reasonably priced. Thanks to everyone at settlers drift for such a memorable four days.

The team arranged a private dinner for two, a thoughtful touch that made celebrating our marriage feel even more intimate and memorable. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and ready to help with a smile, and the care they put into each detail made the experience feel tailored to us. Our game drives with Richard were unforgettable. He knew the area so well, was passionate about wildlife, and had a keen eye. You could see how dedicated he was to giving us the best possible experience. Settlers Drift is a real gem in the Kariega Game Reserve. We can't recommend it highly enough.

Just wow. The luxury tents are so cool, with amazing views, and the staff were attentive and the food delicious. Aurelie was so friendly and wonderful, and our guide Gladman was passionate about the animals and incredibly knowledgeable. We saw all the amazing animals and had a special moment with the elephants. We didn't spot the elusive leopard, but that didn't take away from the trip. Aurelie and the team even surprised my partner and me with a romantic dinner. The staff were just next level, and the whole safari at Settlers Drift was unforgettable and worth every cent. I can't speak highly enough of them. If you're after a safari, I'd recommend going here.

I went with my daughter and friends in early April, and we had a fantastic stay. Wayne knows so much about the animals and made sure we saw the Big 5.
