Asilia Suites Knysna Waterfront

I’m so disappointed. I make my December bookings in January, but mine was canceled with no explanation. I tried to contact them to find out what happened and got nowhere. The worst part is that I’m now stuck with a non-refundable one-night booking in Jeffrey's Bay, where I planned to stay on the way back. Really upsetting...😡

I canceled my Booking.com reservation within the allowed time, but still haven’t received my refund. I’ve emailed, called and sent WhatsApp messages over the past week, and nobody has got back to me.

From the plain outside, you wouldn’t guess how modern and nicely finished everything is inside. The shared spaces and pool have excellent finishes, and the apartment is minimalist but modern, with luxury touches and furniture you don’t often find in a self catering place at this price. It’s great value, a short walk from the Quays and some highly recommended restaurants. Roxy sent all the check in details before we arrived, and Cecilia met us and helped us settle in. We’d definitely come back.

I booked an Asilia suites suite in August 2024 for a December holiday, and planned my flights and our family’s whole trip to Knysna around that stay. I had confirmation, so getting told just ten days before the trip that it was canceled was devastating. I called straight away to ask why. One person said they’d sold the flat we were due to stay in, another said it was a double booking, and then I was told the real reason: when I booked in August they needed the December income, so I got a better advance rate, but later they saw they could get a better offer as demand increased. With no integrity, they simply informed me that I basically no longer had a holiday. Our family’s flights were fixed, and this caused enormous stress and unhappiness. Asilia Suites in Knysna is dishonest and run by people and owners with no integrity.
