Check-in was easy, and the room was clean, functional and exactly as advertised. The bed was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had to leave early, so we didn’t try breakfast. They delivered what they promised, which deserves five stars.

We slept wonderfully in a very comfortable bed, and the quiet was just what we needed. Breakfast was nicely presented and tasty on all four mornings. The serving staff were friendly and accommodating, and parking was no problem. The pool is small, but fine for cooling off. Our room was amazing.

The room was spacious, and the staff were pleasant. Everything worked, and there’s a small pool with a few loungers. Still, a few things would make me choose somewhere else next time. The room lighting was so poor that even with every light on, shaving was difficult. There was also a note saying we couldn’t use the large corner bath. Finding the place was manageable because the homes along the road had numbers, but this property had neither a hotel sign nor a number outside. At the door, a notice said checkout was at 10 am, although our confirmation said 11. When we raised it, we were firmly told 10 was the time. I’d booked partly because an 11 am checkout suited our next stop, and we didn’t want to leave our car and luggage on show while we waited. To be fair, when we left at 10, we were invited to sit in the lounge or by the pool. Breakfast was limited to eggs, bacon, mushrooms and toast, with no cereal or fruit, which was a first on this trip. The stay was pleasant enough, but there’s so much choice nearby that we’ll try somewhere else next time.

The house had a relaxing feel and plenty of privacy, with lots of room to move around the dining area. Chrissie welcomed us even though we arrived early, and she and the staff got us settled in quickly. It looked just like the pictures, and we’d give cleanliness and service 10/10. Breakfast was simple but enough. Christie, we’ll be back.
