Beletage

The cottage at Beletage felt so magical I half expected a fairy to appear! It was neat and clean, and in a lovely area. Our dogs had a great time too. We enjoyed evening walks, and the beautiful beach was just a 15 min walk away. The island even had the best ice cream, and gave us a bit of an overseas living vibe. We had such a good weekend and will definitely come back!

We came looking for peace and quiet and found it at Beletage. Leisure Island is tranquil, feels very safe, and has lots of birdlife. We could explore on the complimentary bikes. Our downstairs apartment was clean and well stocked, with great linen and very comfortable beds. The large patio caught lovely morning sun for breakfast and was also great for evening sundowners. All in all, a lovely stay. Thank you, Gudi, you’re a marvellous host.

Gudi and John were great hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed, and even though their house faces the cottage, we had complete privacy. Leisure isle is a safe, lovely place to experience Knynsa. We felt comfortable leaving the doors open even at night, and can’t wait to visit again. We were there with our whole family and two dogs, spread across three spaces. My parents loved the downstairs studio, with morning sun coming in and a patio that was perfect for breakfast and a last glass of wine. My brother had the upstairs studio, with a nice view of the park and a small balcony where he could smoke his vape. We stayed in the cottage at the back of the house, in the garden. It was tastefully furnished and had absolutely everything, and more, for a fully self-catering holiday, including a dishwasher. Outside, beneath an avocado tree full of ripe Avos, there was room for all of us to have a braai one evening.

The area was peaceful and safe, and we enjoyed walking and cycling to the beach. The bicycles were available for us to use during our stay. Beletage is also walking distance from a few restaurants. Our cottage had everything we needed and was comfortable, and we loved having a cold one in the outside sitting area under the trees after a sunny day. John and Gudi went out of their way to make us feel at home. They’re amazing hosts, and now we consider them friends. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We’d highly recommend Beletage for a breakaway holiday. Thank you, John and Gudi, for a holiday we’ll remember. 🥰
