Knysna Pocket Breaks Unit 4

The apartment was a real disappointment for the price. The compound felt cramped and confined, and the neighborhood looked a bit sketchy. It’s a compound of flats where people pay monthly rent, and the apartment’s online photos don’t match what you find there. The basics weren’t in place: no mats on the bedroom floors, and the bathroom was tiny and shabby, in need of an upgrade. The balcony was small and cramped too. There were four chairs, but they couldn’t fit around the table outside, so how are people meant to sit? At R950, this apartment is absolutely unacceptable for its standard. The price needs to be reviewed.

The guesthouse website pictures were misleading. What I found was completely different, and the place also seemed to have units used for long-term rentals, so it looked more like flats. My child was bitten by bedbugs, and the linen wasn’t clean, which raises concerns about the rooms’ hygiene. I also paid far too much for the room given its condition and standard. I won’t recommend this lodging to anyone visiting Knysna for a holiday. My sincere advice to management is to address these problems.

We arrived late, which was no problem for the very helpful staff. The apartment had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a washing machine. It’s well located for exploring the city, with lots of restaurants and shops just around the corner.

A very handy place for families, with a central location, stylish decor and all the amenities you could want. It has WiFi, DSTV and a washing machine, and is budget conscious too. Highly recommended! :-)
