We were six, four adults and two kids, and stayed from 5-7 Jan 2026. We meant to stay one night, then extended it to two, but still wished we could have stayed longer. The lagoon and surroundings were peaceful and breathtaking, and the rooms by the pool were clean and well cared for. The garden view rooms felt very private, though they could use a bit of sprucing up. The owners are down to earth, breakfast was well prepared, and Reyck brought freshly brewed coffee each morning. His wife helped the kids spot chameleons in their natural habitat, and they adored her for it. It’s a well planned holiday setting, and I’d recommend it any time.

We had a lovely stay in a cottage that felt cozy and welcoming. The food was delicious, and I appreciated the bar fridge with complimentary drinks. Guests and staff were friendly and enjoyed chatting and making new friends. There were a couple of things that could use attention: flies gathered around the uncovered food left on the tables, and there were cat hairs on our table, as the cat must have napped there. Even so, we had a nice time and will definitely return. Thank you.

The owner, Ryk, and manager, James, were friendly, genuinely interested, and happy to help with anything. We had a wonderful stay at Point Lodge in Knysna. Our room was spacious, the view amazing, and breakfast very good. There’s also a big pool that’s great for relaxing. Knysna is a cute town. We especially liked the waterfront, where you can try the famous oysters at 34 South!, and driving through the islands to sightsee.

We’d love to come back in summer and try the pool. The lagoon views are stunning, and the hospitality was simple, warm, and comfortable. Our family room was comfortable too, with a sweet, cozy sunroom. Thanks, Ryk and team, for taking care of us.

The pool overlooking the lagoon is fantastic, and the location is good. Breakfast was great, the bed was comfortable, and the host knew the area well. The room was basic but clean. The shower head over the bath wasn’t ideal. I’d recommend it overall.
