Breakfast was a real treat, especially the fabulous Eggs Benedict with paprika. The staff were lovely and focused on service, and the guesthouse is close to nearby attractions. My partner Chris and I were lucky to stay here in April 2025. Wayne and Dirk were welcoming and hospitable, kept an eye on us, and answered our questions about things to do nearby. Our bedroom was spacious, comfortable, peaceful, and quiet. Thanks for such a memorable stay.

What a spot, right on top of the heads with a wonderful view. Dirk, Wayne, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and made our stay the best. We were greeted with wine and a cheese platter, had a fantastic breakfast, and enjoyed the outdoor spa and pool. The bed was comfortable too. Couldn’t ask for more. We’ll be back, and can’t wait.

The ocean view from the very good rooms is amazing, and the staff are friendly. A lot falls to the guest, though, like closing doors and sometimes carrying luggage, and there’s no in-room dining. Breakfast and the chef more than make up for that in the morning, so I highly recommend it. PS, the water smells funny, so we avoided long showers.

We couldn’t have been made more welcome, and I only wish we’d stayed longer. We were there for the second time last week, and after many visits to South Africa and stays in hotels and other accommodation, Wayne and Dirk’s home from home is among the best, if not the best. Pretty greeted us with a lovely cheese, meat, and wine welcome, then looked after us superbly throughout. The property is immaculate, with tasteful touches of the Orient, a huge koi carp pond, and a spiral staircase. Inside and out, there are large, comfortable leather sofas and armchairs, plus an honesty bar stocked like a pub, club, or bar. The rooms, suites, and communal areas are beautifully decorated and comfortable. We stayed in Pearl, which was spacious and had a large terrace and sea view; some of the suites are palatial. Wayne and Dirk are friendly, knowledgeable hosts who happily recommend places to eat, even outside Knysna. Wayne’s breakfast was the best of our five-week trip by far, with a cold buffet and a choice of hot dishes, all high quality and served from memory by Memory and her colleagues. Nothing was too much trouble. The big pool and multiple hot tubs were a nice bonus, and onsite parking was included. Fantastic stay, thanks. We’ll definitely return for longer.
