Roeleen and Steve are the reason we’d come back to Knysna. They’re lovely, fun people who make you feel completely at home on holiday, look after their guests so well, and know all sorts of things to do nearby. The guesthouse itself is beautiful and luxurious, in a quiet residential area with stunning lagoon views. Everything is kept immaculate, too.

The views over Knysna are what first stand out at 6 Westhill Knysna, and the setting feels peaceful despite being close to town. Shops, restaurants and attractions are nearby, while the guest house itself feels calm. I also felt safe both inside and in the surrounding area. The hosts were warm and attentive, with thoughtful touches throughout, from the rooms to their suggestions for exploring Knysna. The house feels luxurious and carefully looked after, and the hospitality made the stay memorable. For me, 6 Westhill Knysna is a place I’d gladly return to.

Steve and Roeléén were the real highlight for us. They’re generous, helpful hosts who know a lot about things to do nearby and further afield, and helped us with bookings and other arrangements. We enjoyed some good conversations over a glass of wine, too. They felt more like a host family than hosts, and we’ll stop by again next time. The guesthouse itself is modern, clean and finished to a high standard. It’s in a very good spot, with the waterfront about 15 minutes away. Breakfast was generous, and they were happy to cater to individual wishes. I rarely give full marks, but this place earned them. And keep an eye out for the little tree...

Our anniversary weekend at Westhill was made special by Roeleen and Steve, such a welcoming couple who really looked after us. The rooms are beautiful, the views are amazing, and the whole place feels like pure luxury. I’d highly recommend it.
