Casart Game Lodge

Being a small lodge meant we got to know the other guests, many of whom had stayed before. We’d happily return if we’re back in the area. It’s easy to find and sits right in the heart of Kruger National Park, with Sonia, the owner and host, and all the staff making us feel welcome without any fuss. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, and the outdoor jacuzzi was a treat. There’s also a decent-sized pool looking over the park and watering hole, where we saw elephants. Meals were very good, with local food given an international touch, and breakfast had a nice range of hot and cold dishes plus eggs cooked to order. We both had an hour-long massage, one of the best I’ve ever had, just right after early starts and drives through the forest. The forest was dense this time of year, but we still saw plenty of animals, including lions. A charming, intimate lodge, and highly recommended.

Happy was our guide on the game drives, and his knowledge and enthusiasm made them amazing. The meals were fresh and tasty, the rooms had everything we needed, and the host and staff were friendly and helpful. I had a great stay at Casart Game Lodge and would definitely recommend it.

A herd of elephants came to the watering hole near the lodge, and we watched them from the terrace. That was a real highlight. The house was cozy and very clean, and we met some lovely people during our stay. Sonia and her team created a special atmosphere surrounded by nature. Happy, our ranger, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed, and we learned a lot about South Africa and life there. Thanks again to Agrineth, Fikile, Stanford, Sharon, Happy, Maxime, and Sonia. We’ll be back!

The whole team was great, and we had a wonderful stay at Casart Game Lodge. Chris took us on adventurous game drives, with lots of sightings.
